TyPhoon Ulysses Recovery

Thank you for your generosity & support!

Celebrating clean water access & one of four working water pumps in Baliuag, Bulacan today.

COMMUNITY UPDATES

Thanks to the generosity of many, in November 2020, we raised $1795 USD to support the community of Baliuag, Bulacan recover from Typhoon Ulysses. (For more background, read here.)

With these funds, we’ve provided immediate essentials for vulnerable & affected community members; and clean water & sanitation access throughout the area.

Cash, Essentials, & Grocery Assistance

To date, we have distributed essential groceries and sanitary supplies to multiple families as basic needs; along with cash relief for particularly vulnerable families.

Clean Water & Sanitation Access

Four water pumps now operate in the community, providing over 100 families with access to clean water close to their homes. Our team plans to continue installing four more pumps in the area, in the near future.

Sister Fundraising

This GoFundMe was one of several fundraising initiatives to support communities impacted by Typhoon Ulysses. Collectively, we funded multiple types of recovery, including feeding programs and rice packages, cash assistance, medicine and hospital expenses, and construction materials.

With our sister fundraising efforts led by Marion R. & Dayana B., we raised an additional $828 USD over GoFundMe to rebuild homes in both Bulacan and Catanduanes. Additional fundraising in the Philippines raised $4100 USD, prioritized for vulnerable and impacted families. In total, that brings us to $6723 USD supporting communities across Bulacan, Catanduanes, and Cagayan Valley.

We rebuild stronger, together. Thank you for being a part of these efforts!

Acknowledging our Community Leaders

A deep shoutout to Russel O. and Marion B. for leading the community organizing efforts across Bulacan, Catanduanes, and Cagayan Valley. This was a tremendous undertaking, particularly during COVID-19. The energy and commitment you’ve invested in this work can’t be understated, and makes ripples of difference in our communities. Thank you, truly.

Stay Tuned

Recently, the COVID-19 situation and restrictions have increased; and construction in Bulacan is currently on pause. In the coming months, we’re committed to continue working with the community for greater clean water & sanitation access and improvements in livelihood.

We’ll keep this page posted with additional photos & updates as time moves along. Again, thank you all so much for your solidarity & generosity!

For any questions, please feel free to reach out over email. For the time being: sending gratitude and wishing you all peace, safety & wellbeing!
